*Job Description:* CPR and Aquatics Community Education Consortium LLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Paramedic Instructor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing high-quality education to future EMS providers.

This job is primarily education focused, but will have administrative requirements as well due to the ongoing CoAEMSP accreditation process.

This position reports directly to the Program Director and Dean of EMS Education and indirectly to the EMS Education Medical Director.

*_ *Qualifications* *Education: * * Bachelor's Degree or Higher (Preferred but not required) *Licensure and Certification (Mandatory):* * Paramedic (State of Michigan) * Instructor Coordinator - Paramedic Level (State of Michigan) *Licensure and Certification (Preferred):* _*These certifications/licenses will help move your application to the top of the list:*_ * Critical Care (CCP-C) * Community Paramedic (CP-C) * Basic Life Support Instructor/Faculty (AHA) * Basic Life Support Instructor/Instructor Trainer (American Red Cross) * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor/Faculty (AHA) * Advanced Life Support Instructor/Instructor Trainer (American Red Cross) * Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor/Faculty (AHA) * Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor/Instructor Trainer (American Red Cross) * Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Instructor *Experience* * A minimum of three years of experience working as a licensed Paramedic * Curriculum development, program oversight, and successful strategies for learner engagement * Excellent analytical and organizational skills * Strong oral and written communications in order to present data and best practices in an understandable manner * Must work well in team situations, as well as independently * Possesses thorough knowledge of the EMS System in its entirety * Must be able to articulate principles of effective teaching and describe his or her personal philosophy of teaching * Self-motivated, able to complete work in a timely manner, and manages multiple tasks that may have similar priorities and time constraints with minimal supervision * Must be fully competent in Microsoft office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and competent in or willing to learn Teams, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Technologies * Ability to quickly learn how complex simulators and equipment works and to operate it efficient.
*Work Environment and Physical Requirements* * Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment over 50 pounds.
* Requires valid vehicle operator’s license to perform duties of the position * Reliable internet connection in order to work from home as needed.
* Reliable transportation to the classroom.
*Responsibilities* * Serve on the advisory committee for the education program.
* Administers, assists, and/or coordinates the EMS initial education program sponsor approvals and re-approvals and associated processes, including conducting the on-site initial education program evaluation process * Assists the COO and Program Director with progression through CoAEMSP accreditation as the organization moves through Letter of Review toward full accreditation as needed.
* Assures that the curriculum for MFR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic is reviewed annually and is current and consistent with National, and as appropriate, Michigan specific standards * Serves as liaison with the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) related to the exam process for licensure of MI EMS personnel * Participates and collaborates with Michigan EMS education organizations as it relates to EMS initial education * Participates in internal process improvement and strategic planning activities regarding EMS initial education * Collaborates with internal and external partners to facilitate recruitment for EMS education programs as well as program success * Provides subject matter expertise and technical assistance to EMS initial education program sponsors as requested * This position performs a variety of other activities that support and measure EMS initial education program effectiveness * Other duties as assigned Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $25.
