Overview:
The Psychologist will be an independently licensed provider with knowledge of behavioral medicine and the implementation and coordination of mental health care in the outpatient clinic.
The Psychologist's primary duties will be psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, crises interventions, psychotherapy, and care management services.
The Psychologist should have a wide range of clinical experience with a variety of populations from all age groups.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of CMU Health by providing a full range of psychotherapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling, and psychoeducational classes to address identified psychological needs of patients presenting to the clinic.
Providing a full range of psychological assessment services to clarify the needs of patients and to facilitate development of a treatment plan.
Completing all clinical charting and documentation required by the health care system.
Participates fully in peer review and clinical pertinence review to ensure the quality of professional psychology services provided in the organization.
Assures that appropriate referrals to specialty programs, including community resources, are accomplished.
Promotes patient independence and achievement of optimal health through appropriate psychosocial education and community referrals.
Is involved in the training of psychology interns, supervision of residents and practicum students as well as students of various disciplines, as appropriate.
Serves as a consultant to other clinic staff and trainees while assisting in their formulation of the psychological characteristics and appropriate treatment expectations regarding their patients.
OTHER DUTIES
Clinical supervision of a limited licensed psychologist
Assisting in running clinical team meetings
Case consultation to providers on staff
Diagnostic evaluations
Psychotherapy using evidence-based practices
Administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Fully licensed clinical psychologist with a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology preferably from a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
