North Huron Early Learning Center is a licensed organization which utilizes research based curriculums infant through preschool.
We also participate in a state assessment and rating program.
NHELC is hiring applicants of exceptional professionalism seeking employment in early childhood.
*Responsibilities: *Caring for children in a licensed center, meeting all physical and emotional needs, while maintaining a safe, welcoming learning environment.
*Qualifications:* At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be a dependable, professional, and caring individual of good character.
Will complete 24 hours of training in MiRegistry per calendar year.
*Hours of Work:* NHELC hours are 7:00AM to 5:30PM, Monday-Friday.
Hours and days may vary.
*Daily Duties:*
1.
Be welcoming, professional, and kind with all families and children.
2.
Implement the daily schedule of activities in a safe, respectful, and positive manner to ensure the security, and physical and emotional wellbeing of children.
3.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following all policies, procedures, and regulations.
4.
Provide a variety of activities that are age appropriate, and in keeping with the High
Scope Curriculum.
Play and interact with the children in your care, understanding that all children learn in different ways, at different paces.
5.
Keep anecdotal records on children, and assist in assessments.
6.
Ensure that children are taken outside daily, as weather permits.
7.
Facilitate meals and snacks.
Feed infants as needed.
Encourage self-feeding of older children.
Interact and converse with children as they are eating.
8.
Follow safe sleep regulations for nap/rest times.
9.
Change diapers/facilitate toileting according to licensing regulations.
10.
Record and report to the Director and/or Lead Teacher with all accidents, problems, or special concerns.
11.
Share information about children as necessary with staff/families, while maintaining confidentiality.
Additional:
● Use strength to lift items needed to perform the functions of the job
● Sit, stand and walk for required periods of time.
● Perform additional duties as required
● Attend all meetings as required
*Physical Requirements:*
* Ability to stand and walk over 60% of the work day in order to supervise children throughout daily activities, walk throughout the school, participate in Gym and Playground activities.
* Must have the physical stamina to care for energetic young children 1-5 years old.
* Required to lift (7 -50 pounds), bend, sit on the floor, run and engage in other physical activities.
*Job qualifications:*
* Must meet minimum State Licensing Requirements.
* Comprehensive Backround, signed child abuse form and TB test on file at main office.
* Yearly CPR and First Aid Training
* Must be able to adequately carry out all above mentioned job responsibilities.
* Compatible with Director, Assistant Director, Teacher, Assistant Teachers and caregivers.
* Be punctual and in attendance daily.
* Must be at least 19 years old.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.
