Paraprofessional II - Early Childhood/GSRP Program

*TYPE OF WORK* Assist classroom teacher as directed and supervise preschoolers at lunch.
Any other duty as directed by the building supervisor, teacher and/or Superintendent of Schools Must enter anecdotal notes, have computer knowledge and work as a team with the teacher.
*TIME REQUIRED* 7.
5 paid hours per day Monday – Friday 7:15 a.
m.
– 3:15 p.
m.
When preschool is in session.
Times may be adjusted as program needs dictate or per program director.
This position is dependent upon grant funding.
*QUALIFICATIONS* Must have a high school diploma and a minimum of 10th grade reading level.
Good physical health.
Able to withstand extreme temperature changes.
Ability to deal with young children in a patient, rational manner, ability to carry out school district rules and regulations.
Willing to earn a Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification and participate in early childhood training events.
FIA clearance required.
Physical examination, TB screening, fingerprinting required before first day of work.
Such alternatives over the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
*CDA credential required; or Associate’s Degree in Child Development (preferred); or an existing 120 Hour approval.
