We are looking for a candidate passionate about science and teaching, one who will build solid relationships with students and staff alike and ignite a love for science!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Provide instruction in various subjects, such as math, science, English, and social studies
- Utilize effective instructional strategies and techniques to facilitate student learning
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Utilize technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction
- Provide academic advising and support to students
- Mentor and guide students in their personal and academic growth
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification or license in the relevant subject area (or the ability to get a license; Could be in a grow your own program)
- Experience working with high school students in an educational setting desired
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline
- Experience in mentoring or tutoring students is a plus
