ESports Coach

*Report to: Pied Piper Principal* *About Pied Piper School: *Pied Piper School is operated by the Alpena-Montmorency-Alcona Educational Service District.
The school serves students who are Moderately Cognitively Impaired, Severely Cognitively Impaired, Severely Multiply Impaired, and Autistic Impaired.
Students range in age from 3 to 26 years.
Each classroom provides individualized instructional programs for students which may include: * Academics * Communication & Language * Vocational Education * Independent Living * Social-Emotional Skills * Motor Development * Physical Education * Personal Care *Job Description: *The head coach is responsible for administering all aspects of a competitive Esports program, adhering to the guidelines and expectations that are set forth from the state association, and PlayVS.
In addition to the weekly coaching, the head Esports Coach is responsible for the organization of scheduling, game day management, and equipment management.
*Additional Job Duties Include:* * Establish a vision for the new program by establishing, publicizing, and promoting our new program.
* Manage all aspects of the ESports teams and players; including the ESports rosters, in-game names, and accounts used on PlayVS.
* Oversee all practices and matches held by team members ensuring game integrity and player safety.
* Maintain a clear understanding and adhere to the PlayVS rulebook.
* Maintain a level of professionalism on and off the field toward student athletes, other coaches, parents, administrators, and members of the community.
* Respond to developing changes and best practices in the gaming community in this rapidly growing sport.
* Maintain communication with parents of student athletes regarding changes to weekly programming schedule.

While performing the duties of this job, the ESports Coach must be able to do the following: * May be required to grasp, push, reach, or stoop/kneel/crouch * Acute vision required or correction including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus * May occasionally be required to lift up to 20 pounds, rarely up to 50 pounds * Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movements to work on computer and/or related office equipment * Ability to sit for long periods of time * Ability to use the telephone along with written and oral communication * Ability to drive vehicle to and from assigned districts *Qualifications:* * Must pass background check.
* Knowledge of ESports or willingness to learn a must.
*Approximate Time Commitment:* * This would be our first year and we are new to ESports.
We estimate roughly 3 hours per week over 10 weeks with one week off.
*Stipend: *2% factored against BA Step 0 (Currently $924.
24) upon fulfilling the requirements of the position as determined by administration.
