Corporate Wellness Intern

*Corporate Wellness Intern* _*Our Internship Mission *_ To prepare a current college student for entry into the health and fitness fields through a supervised experience that focuses on the practical application of learned theories and knowledge.
*Interns will be given opportunity to:* * Learn how to provide outstanding customer service.
* Personal train & perform fitness assessments.
* Teach group exercise classes.
* Write incentive-based programs to engage wellness center members.
* Give presentations regarding wellness related topics to Dow Chemical employees and wellness center members.
* Deliver interactive health education seminars and demonstration in alignment with individual career interests.
* Gain broad experience, while focusing on individual career interests.
*Qualifications* * Must be a current college junior or senior enrolled in a Health Sciences curriculum or related field, such as Exercise Science, Corporate Fitness, Athletic Training, etc.
* Must have taken a minimum of 3 classes that focused on exercise form, and exercise program design OR hold a current Personal Training Certification.
* Must have professional interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals, both verbally and in written form.
It is expected that you will be energetic, friendly, and professional at all times.
* Must possess strong listening skills, oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills as normally acquired through college courses.
* Must have the ability to work independently.
