Scheduler Michigan, Bad Axe NEW Administrative/Clerical McLaren Thumb Region 24001340 Scheduler - Part Time - 1st shift Position Summary: Sets up exams, procedures and tests for patients; handles customer service inquiries.
Ensures the smooth operation by obtaining accurate and complete patient and insurance information.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Deliver quality customer service by answering incoming phone calls or contacting patients by phone to determine appropriate exam/test/procedure and schedule patient appropriately.
Review screening form and obtain/verify patient and insurance information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Ensure best possible customer service by properly educating the patient on the exam/test/procedure preparation and answering related questions.
Update patient record, including any notes necessary for the technologist, customer, or future reference.
Follows site-specific protocols and keeps protocol documentation up-to-date to ensure compliance.
Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Prior scheduling experience.
Two years of experience, preferably in health care.
