Registered Nurse Med/Surg

*Below are some key highlights of the position* *- * *Title : RN – Med Surg* *Location :* *Midland, MI 48670* *Duration : 3 Months Contract* *Shift : 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM (3 Nights/Week)* *Note: No On call but every other weekend is required.
* *Pay Rate: $60-$62/hr.
* *Job Description**:* · This position and has basic medical/surgical knowledge in order to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* · (30%)\* Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
· (30%)\* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
· (20%)\* Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.
· (10%)\* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
· (10%)\* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
*Requirements:* · 1+ Year of Med Surg Experience – _*Required.
*_ · BLS (AHA) & ACLS (AHA) – _*Required.
*_ · Please notate if candidate has Epic EMR experience in the last year.
