Hi,
My name is Tony, a keyboard player in Midland soon.
I'm looking for musicians who love writing their own music, be it instrumental or lyrical jams.
A little about me.
.
.
I'm a keyboard player in my 50s.
I play piano, Hammond, Rhodes, and synthesizers.
I've been involved in many projects over the years, but the ones that are truly special to me were always playing original music.
I've had the opportunity and luck to play with other musicians who were interested in the creative process as much as I was (this is not easy to find).
A vast majority of musicians are happy playing cover tunes, which I have played many times.
Although this can be fun, and somewhat instantly gratifying, to me it doesn't fulfill my need to be artistic or an artist.
I'm interested in all different genres of music from Jazz, Blues, Funk, R&B, Rock, Electric, Alt-Country.
.
.
This being said, I'm pretty open-minded about what direction this project might go in.
I'm not looking for extreme virtuosity, just musicians that know their way around their instrument.
Sometimes, less is more, esp when you playing in an ensemble.
Interested in all types of musicians: Singer/Songwriter, Lyrists, another keyboard player, horns, percussion, the hard-to-find Bass player, and of course guitar player.
Please contact me if this is of interest to you, and we can chat more.
There is no time crunch to get started, just eagerness to play with 'like-minded' musicians.
Groove oriented, ballads, Rock.
.
.
.
.
Just have a very open mind.

The only genres I'm not very interested in pursuing are: Heavy Metal or Hip Hop.
