About the Role: • As a Production Operator, you'll represent our industry-leading brands: WEST SYSTEM® Epoxy, PRO-SET® Epoxy, Entropy Resins®, and PRO-VAC USA®.
• The position offers an hourly wage of $19.
61 as a base wage with additional quarterly paid profit sharing and an annual merit bonus.

This position is a full-time non-exempt position.
JOB DESCRIPTION The basic function of a Production Operator is to perform various tasks and functions necessary in the Production, Mixing, Blending, and Decanting, Packaging and Shipping of Epoxy Products and other related materials.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (in no particular order)  Handle and process liquid chemicals including mixing, blending, decanting and packaging of epoxy resins, hardeners and adhesives.
 Handle and process dry powder fillers and additives including mixing, filling and packaging.
 Handle and process reinforcement materials including cutting to length/size and packaging.
 Handle and process misc.

 Have great attention to details to guarantee product quality and liaise with other department staff as required to confirm compliance.
 Process and fill freight and UPS orders and documentation.
 Perform shipping and receiving including receiving and documenting of incoming raw materials, material handling and freight packaging.
 Process outgoing shipping documentation and coordinate with delivery service personal.
 Perform record keeping including batch production records, quality records, shipping documents, etc.
 Participate in department work area rotation on a planned schedule, making sure that area is delivered in organized, clean and good working conditions to next co-worker coming to the work area.
 Maintain certification and competently perform fork truck operation.
 Assist in maintenance of equipment and facilities as required, including cleaning of equipment.
 Perform housekeeping activities in the shop area to improve safety, workspace and productivity.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (in no particular order)  Continually learn more about the product and those application techniques, methods and processes that meet the needs of prospective end-users.
 Strive to maintain conversance with the product’s physical properties, chemical composition, and manufacturing considerations, difficulties and costs.
 Maintain a close working relationship with all company departments and their members.
 Demonstrate and promote the concept and advantages of being internally cooperative while externally competitive.
 Actively support all Company policies, with special attention to safety, health, personal bias and poor conduct issues.
 Participate and fully support the GBI Quality System and any other activities necessary to support the management and effective functioning of the company.
 Attend and participate in all Company-wide meetings, lectures and annual social events as practical.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS  This position reports to and is accountable to the Production Supervisor.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS  High School Diploma or equivalent GENERAL REQUIREMENTS  A record of success reflecting consistent improvement, completion of assignments and obtainment of goals.
 The ability to work with others, to be convincing and yet hold ideas and conclusions generously.
 The skills and knowledge to keep all lines of communication open throughout the company.
 The ability to work with other employees, understanding when to take charge and when to support or abstain.
 The ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees, customers and colleagues by speaking and writing standard American English.
 The ability to use computer writing, spreadsheet, database and ERP programs while being conversant with current computer capabilities.
 A good understanding of mathematical, record keeping writing formats.
 The senses of sight, touch, hearing and the ability to speak are required.
 Walking is required within the office, production and storage areas.
In addition, this position requires turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists and fingers.
The requirements may include lifting heavy boxes or objects of forty pounds or more.
WORKING CONDITIONS  The physical requirements will vary widely depending upon whether each day’s activities require the employee to be at the Corporate Office and Manufacturing Location or in the field attending training.
 When working in the Corporate Office and Manufacturing Location the environment will have temperatures and noise levels controlled.
Some time may be spent in the laboratory, production and warehousing areas where temperatures and sound levels may vary.
All areas of the company will be smoke free.
 The normal workday at the corporate Manufacturing Location is 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday through Friday.
However, the hours may be longer and days extended when participating in meeting, special projects or fieldwork.
This is a key position and may require working outside of normal working hours.
 Mandatory overtime may be required.
 Minor travel may be required.
SPECIFIC MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE  Ability to follow process instructions and procedures to produce quality products in a timely manner.

 Ensures that personal waste and non-productive time are kept to a minimum.
 Performs any other related duties as may be required by management.
