Erie Custom Signs is a national manufacturer of interior ADA Braille Signage.
Our signs can be found all over the country in Sports Stadiums, Hospitals, Universities and Hotels.
For example, Ford Field, Rocket Mortgage Stadium, Clemson University, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Museum, Rutgers University, Buffalo Bills Stadium and many more.
We are seeking a detail oriented, self-motivated Pre-Press / Production Designer for our ADA/Braille interior sign manufacturing business.
*This role emphasizes production efficiency, prioritizing speed and accuracy over creativity or artistic elements.

*Responsibilities*
* Create proofs from customer supplied artwork.
* Identify missing or problematic components and communicate them to the Customer Service Rep, customer and production supervisor.
* Work directly with Customer Service Rep, customer, and production personnel as necessary to work out any problems with the job.
* Develop production ready files for our Engraving, UV Printing, Laser, router and fabrication equipment.
* Develop bed layout (nesting, imposition) for equipment.
* Amend designs after feedback .
*Skills*
* Proven Pre-press / production design experience
* Knowledgeable Typography (Fonts) Skillset
* A thorough understanding of digital file formats (pdf, tiff, eps, svg, etc.
)
* Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, EngraveLab)
* CAD experience is a plus
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
* A keen eye for aesthetics and details
* Excellent communication skills including email, phone and in person
* Manufacturing and production experience (Lean & 5s a plus)
* Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
* Ability to work alone and with a team.
Education
* Associate degree or bachelor’s preferred but not required with applicable work experience.
* High School Diploma or the equivalent - is required.
