Position Role & Overview: We are seeking aspiring engineering candidates to fill multiple positions for the Engineering and Manufacturing Departments at Magline.
Projects will be chosen for student participation based on skills and interest of interns selected for the program.
Work assignments expose students to many of the company's products, processes, and procedures.
In addition, Magline gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity while providing students exposure to full-time career opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities will be determined based on the selected student(s) background, and Magline needs.
Example projects include: Assist in the develop of continuous improvement projects and initiatives for areas of responsibility, these could include: Shipping and Receiving Machining Press equipment automation and/or process equipment Assembly equipment automation and/or process equipment Welding equipment automation and/or process equipment Assist with specification of, and likely subsequent implementation of, major manufacturing cells/production upgrades.
Assist in the creation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure they are met or exceeded.
Work with the Quality Department by maintaining and improving quality programs and initiatives & documentation.
Assist in the development, improvement, and maintenance of plant training programs.
Assist the Engineering Department in the improvement and maintenance of our ERP system to include: Learning the Magline ERP system and subsequently reviewing & updating part descriptors.
Learning Solidworks as used at Magline and subsequently correct &/or update CAD models and drawings.
Assist Engineering team members with documentation maintenance Assist with ERP setup, testing and data cleanup Work with Senior Engineers on product design and testing.
Requirements: Must currently be pursuing an Engineering degree from an accredited 4-year University Technical knowledge of mechanical principles.
Good oral and communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Must have a “Can do” attitude and be willing to help with a variety of roles.
Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work.
Prefer candidates with experience in Solidworks.
Knowledge / Expertise in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Candidate must be able to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
