*Job Summary*
The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
All work will be done in compliance with MIOSHA safety rules and regulations.
Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
*Duties/Responsibilities*
* Ability to troubleshoot programmable ladder logic controllers and electrical drives.
* Ability to identify and implement improvements in production processes.
* Assure manufacturing machines and all utilities equipment function at top performance levels.
* Evaluate, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems in the building.
* Assist in design and fabrication of cooling fixtures for process parts.
* Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
* Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to eliminate machine downtime.
* Install/remove equipment and machines as needed.
* Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
* Able to run plumbing and conduit.
* Assure all processes for Maintenance are implemented and documentation maintained.
* Able to understand mechanical and electrical processes.
* Identify and implement improvements in production equipment and processes.
* Can acquire, analyze, interpret information in a logical manner and implement change as required.
* Can organize activities needed to reach goals.
* Ability to select future courses of action and decide how to achieve the desired results.
* Assure a safe workplace and compliance with MIOSHA and Company safety standards.
* Keep the workplace clean, orderly and in a sanitary condition.
* Train employees so they can perform the requirements of the processes.
* Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
*Education/Experience Requirements*
* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school diploma highly preferred.
* Experience in manufacturing with a record of maintaining a variety of machines/equipment.
* At least 2 years of experience with PLC (ladder logic), SEW Drive (preferred).
* At least 2 years of manufacturing experience with electrical systems.
*Physical Requirements*
* Must be able to work in noisy environments.
* Physically capable of lifting 50# unassisted.
* Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access all parts of the machine.
