*Job Summary*
Production schedulers use their knowledge of the production process and reports to create daily and weekly production schedules.
They must also be able to comprehend reports and make recommendations about where improvements might be made.
As a production scheduler, you should be able to multitask and provide quick responses to production problems.
As generating reports and schedules may require the use of our ERP / MRP system (PLEX), you must also have an aptitude for computers and ability to supplement MS Excel and Office.
A top-notch production scheduler should help ensure that company objectives are achieved and that all deadlines are met through OTD and OEE metrics.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
· Creating and maintaining schedules that supports the most optimal production schedule and capacity for all Vantage locations.
· Build and monitor overall company capacity to establish lead times and help with strategic planning of the Master Schedule.
· Provide updates to customers both internally and externally.
· Develop and communicate production schedule for work centers to production team daily / weekly.
· Develop quarterly, monthly, and daily schedules that are used by and purchasing to schedule incoming materials (purchased or supplied).
· Understanding of projects bill of materials and components used to fulfill customer requirements.
· Update and modify all pertinent plans and schedules based on raw material availability and customer requests.
· Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time efficient manner and clearly communicate schedule modification to all affected departments.
· Using workers and resources in the most effective manner by creating a priority plan when necessary to achieve customer satisfaction.
· Providing quick responses to production issues.
· Identifying problems and helping improve processes.
· Ensuring that customer and company deadlines are met.

· Strong understanding in a high and low volume product mix production facility with a focus on capacity optimization.
· Develop and Run KPIs to ensure effective Planning and Production processes.
· Recommend strategies for floor projects through continuous improvement and metric performance.
· Recommend actions as necessary that support P&L performance, V/TO achievements, and business growth.
· Partner with HR to assess training needs as appropriate.
· Accessible long hours which may include after traditional business hours (nights and weekends).
*Preferred Skills and Knowledge*
· Strong customer service skills, both professional phone, written and verbal communication methods.
· Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement a plus.
· A change agent, not afraid to make change and drive the culture towards the long-term strategies as an employer of choice though individual development.
· Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
· Strong project management skills desired.
· Strong problem solver, adaptive and creative in resolving issues.
· P&L experience strongly preferred.
*Education and Experience*
· Experience in Production or Manufacturing 3 years minimum, thermoforming knowledge a plus.
· Ability to learn and utilize production equipment effectively on all sites.
· Ability to develop an understanding of run rates on all production jobs.
· Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Exceptional organizational skills.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
· A strong understanding of ERP systems, Plex knowledge preferred and proficiency in MS Office tools.
· Ability to create and understand reports to aid in making production decisions.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in management, may be preferred.

*Physical Requirements*
· Moderate amount of sitting and walking expected.
· May be required to lift up to 50lbs as needed.
This role is accountable for all aspects of department performance including safety & environmental, quality, reliability, production, and productivity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.
