Job Summary: Leadership and supervision of one of four sugar manufacturing process shifts, beet-end operations.
This includes oversight for sugar beet processing including process safety, quality and environmental responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership – provide leadership, guidance, and supervision for the shift beet-end crews to achieve factory operating goals and performance standards.
Provide support and cooperation with supervisor and maintenance staff on shift.
Production Objectives – reviewing shift production data and adjusting specific targets and timelines to optimize beet-end operations and production goals.
Follow up on tracking results, providing feedback and taking corrective actions as appropriate.
Quality – ensuring intermediate and final product streams meet food safety and customer quality standards, plus product quality issues are investigated, documented and corrective action implemented.
Safety – ensuring all factory employees, visitors and contracted personnel comply with regulatory and company requirements for personal, department and facility safety.
Environmental – support that all facility activities and operations comply with regulatory requirements.
Efficiency – optimization of factory employee and equipment resources to minimize unit costs and enhance productivity and product output.
Business Development – identification and submission of recommendations for projects or modifications to improve facility operations.
Monitoring of Equipment – daily inspection and preventative maintenance of sugar end equipment, such as: granulators, cooler, bucket elevators, centrifugals, hydraulic systems, pumps, and other critical equipment located on the sugar end.
Position Qualifications:
Knowledge of beet end process flows.
High-School Diploma, preferred, and/or a minimum 5 years industrial plant related operations experience.

Alternatively extensive industrial practical experience of 5+ years with beet manufacturing.
