*Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities* * Interpret simple to complex product and assembly drawings to make accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs).
* Create simple drawings and BOMs for individual parts, sub-assemblies and finished products.
* Modify/update existing drawings as well as BOMs to meet the needs of new specific requirements.
* Work collaboratively with Engineering, Purchasing and Operations Departments to ensure BOMs are complete, accurate and released in a timely manner.
*Qualifications* * Proficient knowledge working in Windows environment and software related (Outlook, Office, etc.
).
* Knowledge and understanding of the concept of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and how they are built.
* Ability to learn new software and processes.
* Ability to create, read, and interpret drawings and diagrams.
* Ability or willingness to learn how to analyze parts, assemblies, and production processes.
* High capacity to work in a focused and methodical manner.
* High capacity to work under pressure and fulfill tight delivery schedules.
* Comfortable working on highly focused tasks.
* Knowledge and understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
Global Shop experience is a plus.
*Additional Skills preferred:* * Highly proficient in the use of PC and software related to engineering.
* Data base drawing management.
* 3D CAD Drawing skills.
* The candidate must be an adaptive person with excellent retention of knowledge and details.
* Working knowledge or experience as a technical illustrator.
*Computer program knowledge should include the following, but training is available for the right candidate:* * MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) * 3D modeling and 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks experience preferred) * Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop (Preferred, but not essential) * Global Shop (Preferred, and will be essential) *Education/Experience* * Open to Intern with 2024 graduation, or someone with the following background/experience: * High School Diploma and minimum 5 years manufacturing experience, or * Associates of Science, Mechanical Engineering plus 3-5 years manufacturing experience, or * Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering plus 1-3 years’ experience.
*Salary: * * Pay rate is negotiable based on candidate's experience and skill level Job Types: Full-time, Internship Pay: $40,000.
00 - $60,000.
