*Plant Maintenance Technician* Bay Cast is an industry leader in the large format specialty steel casting and machining industry.
We are a second generation, family-owned business with a long history in Bay City, Michigan.
We service a wide variety of manufacturing sectors such as Aerospace, Defense, Power Generation, Automotive, Mining and Construction We currently have a Maintenance Technician position open at our foundry/finishing shop.
Pay for this position is $19.
00-$21.
00 per hour based on previous experience.
*Job Description:* The Maintenance Technician works directly for the facilities manager to ensure smooth day to day running of the facility.
Your duties will include performing repairs, maintaining inventory, and perform prescribed preventative maintenance procedures.
This is a hands-on position.
*Responsibilities:* The responsibilities of a maintenance tech.
are as follows: * Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures * Participate in continuous improvement activities * Maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery including forklifts and cranes * Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment * Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays * Read and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring schematics * Perform hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair * Perform repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds *Experience/Qualifications:* * *Proven Work History* * Self-starter with attention to detail * Proficient with lift equipment and repair * Mechanically Inclined * Blue Print Reading * Background and Drug Check * Welding and fabricating a plus *Benefits:* Medical with HRA/HSA, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days * Company paid short/long term disability and life insurance * Flexible spending account * 401(k) with employer match * Paid Time Off and 7 paid holidays Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
