*LABOR POSITION - NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY* The job of an installer helper is to assist in installing flooring products for customers.
The installer plays an important role in the customer service experience and quality of the product.
The installer helper reports to the installation manager and works under the lead installer daily.
Summary of Responsibilities Under the supervision of the lead installer, the installer helper is primarily responsible for handling materials, learning to install, and following up on all job assignments.
This includes loading and unloading vehicles and completing all required paperwork.
· Maintain a level of professionalism while representing O'Connor's Carpet One on the road and with the customers.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace in the installer van and during the installation.
· Learning and maintain a level of professional knowledge on products and installation methods.
· Complete the job by installing the product with attention to detail under the supervision of the lead installer.
· Fill-out and process appropriate paperwork before and after the installation.
· Demonstrate punctuality and time management by arriving to the job site on time.
· Communicate effectively with the other installers.
Expectations and Qualifications In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a satisfactory level with a willingness to learn the trade.
This job may also require you to drive between multiple locations including, but not limited to, installation and customer sites.
Installer helper is expected to perform according to the following expectations in order to successfully carry-out their assigned job responsibilities.
Education and Experience: · High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.
· At least one year of general labor is encouraged.
Mathematical Skills: · Understand and effectively communicate numerical data.
· Calculate and understand simple figures and amounts.
Technical Skills: · Ability to operate a truck or van.
· Ability to push, pull and lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.
00 - $15.
00 per hour
