Position Summary:
This position will be onsite and based out of the Linear Motion business operation in Saginaw, Michigan.
The position requires a professional capable of participating in selecting tooling, gaging, and developing processes to ensure parts are manufactured on time with the highest quality by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Self-manage short- and long-term projects, including interacting with internal department and vendors
Design manufacturing processes based on existing stable processes
Identify and implement engineering definition and contractual flow down requirements effectively into manufacturing processes
Identify potential improvements with impact analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives
Design and maintain characteristic accountability plan for legacy and new products
Design work holding for manufacturing and test applications
Generate clear and concise standard work instructions
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of the organization
Provide technical support to production and supply base

BSME or similar educational background
Experience/Interest in conventional & non-conventional machining, chemical processing, non-destructive testing, and heat treatment preferred
Must be an independent learner, able to perform value added research & investigation
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Working knowledge of quality systems and control plans
High level of analytical ability
Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting aptitude
Capable of becoming a strong individual contributor
Proficiency with CAD systems, Siemens NX preferred

Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, set-up sheets, travelers, procedure manuals and government regulations.
Possess a strong geometric/trigonometric mathematical understanding.
Computer Skills:
Must be able to use the computer and computer software as required by job.
Must be proficient in MS Office applications.
Basic understanding of code (VBA, C#, C++, etc.
) is preferred.
