Mechanical Engineering Manager

JOB SUMMARY: This position manages and coordinates the work of the mechanical engineering staff to provide design specifications that meet market demands and customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Develops an engineering training plan.
2.
Facilitates design reviews on all orders.
3.
Works closely with the Service team to strategize action plans for addressing field support issues promptly and effectively.
4.
Collaborates with the Sales Application Engineering team on specifications for new equipment.
5.
Responsible for the Mechanical aspect of MET inspections.
6.
Coordinates installation and foundation drawings.
7.
Innovates and implements a method for generating 3D associative foundation and installation drawings, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
8.
Creates and maintains engineering standards.
9.
Strategizes and implements plans to ensure all machines have up-to-date equipment manuals covering installation, operation, maintenance, and spare parts.
10.
Analyzes costing information and build data on projects to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
11.
Ensures all processes for creating engineering orders have been upheld.
12.
Collaborates with Human Resources to identify and interview prospective mechanical engineering candidates.
13.
Integrates safety protocols into all engineering activities.
14.
Must be willing to complete other duties as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
Experience: Eight years of experience in engineering preferred.
Skills: Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria.
Good organizational skills and personal leadership skills required.
Must have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Strong computer and technology proficiency.
Requirements: Must be willing to travel.
Shift work may be required.
