Fabricator/Welder

A growing, heavy fabrication shop in Saginaw is looking to add a skilled fabricator to its team.
The position is full-time, with over-time potential as the workload demands.
Second shift positions will come with a shift premium.
Pay is competitive and based on experience and capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications: * Five years of fabrication experience * Must be able to lift 50 pounds * Pass AWS tests performed by employer * Must be able to effectively read blueprints/drawings Preferred Skills: * MIG * TIG * Sub Arc * Aluminum experience Responsibilities: * Read technical drawings to prepare for and plan welds * Construct base templates * Put materials together within tolerances and tack weld * Inspect and test weld results * Operate a forklift and overhead crane * Document welds for projects as necessary * Maintain safe work environment by following safety processes and procedures * Inspect and ensure equipment functionality and safety before use * Record production in ERP PPE supplied by the company including steel-toed boots, gloves, etc.
