Foreman/Heavy Equipment Operator

Graebner Excavating is hiring a Foreman/Heavy Equipment Operator to work on both residential and commercial jobs local to Freeland, MI.
It is the responsibility of the foreman to lead his/her construction crew on the job site to keep the construction project on task and schedule each day.
The foreman is the lead equipment operator of his/her given crew.
Schedule is Monday - Friday with some Saturdays during busy seasons.
Overtime is paid after 40 hours.

Experience: * Construction Experience: 5 years * Excavator: 5 years * CDL License (Preferred) * Leadership & Management Experience: 3 Years Skills: * Read and interpret blueprints and have an understanding of the project at hand * Skilled heavy equipment operator with the ability to operate many different sizes and kinds of equipment * Read survey stakes and set grades * Strong communication skills * Strong people skills * Strong work ethic PAY AND BENEFITS: Pay is based on experience.
This position is to find a qualified lead to be a dependable, long-term, right hand man to the Owner/Operator.
*The selection process will require an in person interview and a hands-on skills test operating equipment.
