Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry work, including framing, installing windows and doors, and building structures
- Install and repair various types of siding, including vinyl, wood, and fiber cement
- Construct and install cabinets, shelves, and other custom woodwork
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials
- Read blueprints and follow construction plans to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficient in construction painting techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating for materials and labor
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools used in carpentry work
- Experience in trim carpentry for finishing touches on projects
- Competent in operating power tools safely and effectively
- Understanding of masonry techniques for bricklaying or stonework
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Knowledge of plastering techniques for wall repairs or finishing touches
- Basic understanding of electrical work for installation purposes
