Overview:
Mid State Builders is seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team.
As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing various carpentry projects.
This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge in carpentry skills, as well as the ability to lead and manage a team.
Duties:
- Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including but not limited to: framing, installation of barn steel, soffit and fascia, concrete, finish carpentry and general cleanup.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of other carpenters on-site.
- Ensure that all work is completed according to project timelines and quality standards.
- Able to collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to identify any potential safety hazards or issues.
- Occasionally travel for work and work overtime when needed.
Experience:
- Proven experience working as a Carpenter in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of various carpentry techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Experience in pole barn construction is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
Requirements:
- Must have own basic hand tools.
- Physically able to lift 80lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
