JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: CNC Machinist programmer operator Department: 145 Machine Shop / PMA Reports To: Doug McDonald, Tim Thurston PURPOSE: CNC Machinists needed to fabricate various Aircraft parts as needed from sample parts and Engineering drawings.
Will also fabricate several production parts for our PMA (Parts Manufacturing Authority) from a few copies or several hundred.
We mill from various types of Steel and Aluminum as required.
We have 2 shifts available at 4 days at 10 hours.
Overtime is as required but not a constant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1.
Operation of automated CNC type Machines 2.
Ability to program CNC 3 Axis, 5 Axis, Laths.
3 Ability to understand tool selection and safe usage EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 1.
Tech school certificate and or tool and die operation card 2.
Experience with the use of Auto Desk or Master Cam 3.
Have the ability to set tool paths for 3 axis, 5 axis and lathes 4.
Equivalent on the job experience in the Machining field LANGUAGE SKILLS Must have the ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English.
Ability to receive verbal and written direction assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Must be an experienced CNC programmer/operator able to demonstrate and use with little or no assistance to perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed above represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
We currently operate HAAS VF-6 3+5 Axis, VF-2, ST-30 & 30Y PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Typical machine operation working on the shop floor loading materials in to CNC and monitoring machining operation.
