Duties:
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files using document management systems
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court hearings
- Answer phone calls and take messages with proper phone etiquette
- Transcribe dictations and prepare meeting minutes
- File documents with courts and government agencies
- Assist attorneys with research tasks and case management
- Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and photocopying
Skills:
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading abilities
- Proficient in using document management systems
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Efficient time management and ability to prioritize tasks
Note: Prior experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role is preferred.
